Production Log 6
What progress did you make since your previous entry?
The progress which i had made since my previous entry is that i was fully prepared to present my documentary to my teacher, i was able to meet the deadline set by the teacher and this allowed me to let my teacher watch my documentary and give me feedback as to how i could improve, while the teacher was watching i was taking notes as to where i could improve on. The improvements which i had to do was making sure that the voice overs in my documentary relate back to faith schools as this was the main topic of my documentary, so i had to make sure that i did not drift of the question about bearing in mind that it is about faith schools and state schools.

What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
The logistical challenges which i had faced this week is being able to do the voice overs, as i was committed to do other work, i had to make sure that i was able to do the voice overs confidently, so i had overcome this by making sure that i come in early in order to write up and practice a script this allowed me to make sure that i do not stutter while saying the script, as beforehand i had practiced it.

What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?
The technical challenges which i had faced this week is being able to use the internet, as for when final cut express was open it did not allow me to use the internet so i had overcome this by making sure that i am saving my documentary throughout in order to make sure that i do not lose my work. And also use the internet beforehand if i need to, in order to make sure that i do not waste time on editing.

Production Log 5
What progress did you make since your previous entry?
The progress which i had made from my previous entry is i was able to make sure that my timeline was all in chronological order making sure that all the shots where put in the right place in the timeline. I also
was aware that i did not have enough footage and that my documentary will not be able to reach the limit of atleast 5 minutes as stated on the brief, i thereafter had got feedback from my teacher of adding another interview which would relate alot on my documentary, i had interviewed an RE teacher who was able to give her opinions which related very on my documentary topic.
What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
The logistical challenges which i had faced this week is being able to film, as i was committed to do other work i found it very difficult to make time which suited around the timetable of the RE teacher as she had lessons to teach, i thereafter overcame this by making sure that the day she was free in the morning, i was able to go and do this interview with the help of camera operator being free as well.

The technical challenges which i had faced during this week is again being able to open up my documentary, i had tried many times to open it up, but it will not allow me to, i thereafter overcame this by asking help from teacher who thereafter told me what i had need to do in order for my documentary to open up, she also advised me to save my work regularly in order to make sure that i do not lose my footage or the editing that i have done.
What targets do you aim to achieve before your next entry?
The targets which i aim to achieve is being able to complete my documentary, making sure it is up to the standard which me and my teacher are happy with it, and if there are any little improvements after getting feedback from my teacher then to make sure i get it done before the deadline date.

Production Log 4
What progress did you make since your previous entry?
The progress which i made from my previous entry, is i was able to roughly put all my clips together in the order of which i wanted them to go in, on the timeline. I also was able to make a progress in being able to start putting my filming together and also realise that i needed to include more custways for my interview as the interview was very long and will not engage the audience.

What logistical challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
The logistical challenges which i had faced is becuase the weather was very bad on the day i wanted to film the closing sequence of my documemtary, i had to overcome this by filming in doors, but also making sure that i keep my audeince intrested. Another logistical challenge which i had faced is having problems of using tyhe internet as the connection was very slow, i overcame that by asking for help and the teacher made sure that all the wires in the mac were connected in order for me to use the inetrnet.

Production Log 3
What progress did you make since your previous entry?
The progress which i had made since my previous entry is i had started editing, i first had imported all the footage on to the Mac, i thereafter was able to start editing my footage. I also feel that now i am confident and i am able to edit indepently, this was the struggle which i thought i will face as i am not to confident on using the mac but as long with time i have learnt how to edit on final cut express and also had to insert graphics from livetype. This week i have started putting my footage together, and in the process of putting my documentary together.

Starting to wrap up my documentary, making sure that i have enough cutaways during each interview to make sure that my documentary is interesting.

Production Log 2
What progress did you make since your previous entry?
The progress i made since my last entry is that i started filming for my documentary. I had started filming from the introduction of my documentary, and filming Chadwell Heath Academy as this was one of the easiest locations i could get to. During this weekend i also filmed in Azhar Academy on Saturday as this is a day where girls have islamic classes running in the morning, this will allow me to film a student who is studying at Azhar Academy and the islamic head teacher. I have tried to stick to my production schedule in order to make sure that i film everything before the filming deadline.

The logistical challenges i faced is firstly the location of filming the beginning of my documentary, i wanted to do it in the park but as for the park being busy with many dogs and children playing i decided to change the location, by filming on a quiet side road, where the lighting was perfect and the sound of the wind was not too strong.

What technical challenges did you face this week and how did you overcome them?
The technical challenges i faced this week, the camera filmed shots which were very dark and not to clear, i overcame that by re shooting and checking the settings before i started filming again.

The targets which i aim to achieve before my next entry is making sure that i have filmed everything possible for my documentary including the visit to Azhar Academy, Chadwell Heath Academy and lastly all my interviews with students and teachers. Next week i aim to start editing the beginning of my documentary and do any re filming if it is required.
